Our Cyber and Computing Security degree focuses on protecting against cyber crime before it happens. You will develop specialisms through module choices to match your career goals. Optional subjects include data analytics, information security, and digital crime scene investigation. You'll also examine ‘hot’ cyber crime topics. These include the latest security crimes in the news, as well as big data and Cloud systems which have both significantly increased commercial security risks.
You will be supported to become confident and enterprising while developing key employability skills including team work, communication and time management, all essential for the workplace.
This is a top-up program to the final year of a degree with only final year modules. Typical modules on offer include;

Applicants with Level 5 qualifications (for example Higher National Diploma, ATHE Level 5 Diploma in Computing) from approved awarding bodies will be considered for transfer to the final stage of the BSc program and earn their degree in one year. Applicants who have successfully completed 2 years of study at a University can be considered for direct entry with advanced standing. Other equivalent qualifications may be accepted for entry to this program.
Decisions for admissions will be based on overall suitability for the program and whether the minimum entry requirements of holding GCSE English and Math at Grades C and above (or equivalent) are met.
