CPA Sri Lanka is an independent, national Professional Accountancy institute with international perspectives, dedicated to the promotion of the highest accounting, finance, auditing, taxation and ethical standards. It is committed to promoting the art and science of accounting and to providing quality education and training for students to advance their knowledge, skills and capabilities to meet the changing needs of modern society.

It is committed to promoting high standards of professional conduct, technical competence, practical experience and strategic thinking of members to safeguard public interest and to building Sri Lanka to be a key player in the global economy. The syllabus is continuously updated to ensure that CPA accountants are progressive, innovative and proactive strategists capable of understanding and contributing towards every facet of business.

Qualified accountants, in particular CPAs, are sought after by employers of local and international organisations across all industries. The scope for CPAs is bright and highly rewarding, both nationally and internationally.

CPA Sri Lanka is committed, by developing curricula that is adaptable to the changing demands of the market to training the country’s human resources to suit the present day employment needs and aims to improve access to higher education. It opens up opportunities to;

• school leavers who have completed their school education but are unable to proceed further to gain a recognised qualification
• unemployed to obtain employment by offering avenues to advance their knowledge, skills and capabilities to compete effectively in the job market and
• employed to boost their performance capacities to meet the demands of their employers by enhancing their potentials

Registration

A student may register at any time during the year. However, as the examinations will be held twice a year in July and January, it is necessary that candidates must follow the following deadlines.

To sit the January exams, you must register by first week of November of the previous year.

To sit the July exams, you must register by 1st week of May of that year.
