Sri Lanka National Design Institute - SLNDI
The National Design Centre (NDC) is a statutory body established under the National Crafts Council and Allied Institutions Act No: 35 of 1982 and which commenced operations in 1983, At present the Centre functions under the Ministry of Small & Medium Business and Enterprise Development providing market-oriented designs, technology transfer programmes, consultancy services, information and research findings to the handicraft sector.
The Sri Lanka National Design Institute (SLNDI) was formed as an education wing of the National Design Centre in 1997. At present the Sri Lanka National Design Institute (SLNDI) offers two professional design education programmes; the National Diploma in Interior Design and the Higher National Diploma in Interior Design.
