In 1990 the National Apprentice & Industrial Training Authority was established with a wider mandate as the successor to NAB, under the TVE Act. No. 20 of 1990.

The NVQ framework provides for persons to acquire certificates through undergoing a formal institutional training as well recognizing competencies acquired through informal non - institutional means.

NAITA Automobile Engineering Courses
National Apprentice and Industrial Training Authority - NAITA
All courses have been designed under Dual Training System. Accordingly Basic Training will be provided within the Institution during the first half of the training period. Further training will be provided in Government & Private Organization during the second half of the training period.
