Skills College of Technology - SCOT
We are a leading private tertiary education provider since 2003. The annual intake has now reached 2,000 students enrolled for engineering disciplines of; civil, mechanical, applied-computing, electrical & electronics. The alumni of Skills College is around 10,000 strong with an excellent employment rate both locally and internationally.
Over its fifteen-year history, Skills College has become synonymous with quality assurance and teaching excellence that have been endorsed by international educational awarding bodies.
It has also created a positive atmosphere for higher learning by consistently upgrading its infrastructure, collaborating with universities for sharing facilities & by engaging with well qualified faculties with defining track-records.
In this backdrop Skills College has gone on to rollout engineering education set at RQF levels 3 to 7 (UK), with an outstanding record in terms of academic & industry recognition. Skills College foray into engineering education started with the approval to deliver City & Guilds engineering technology qualifications since the inception, and its recent tie up with Pearson qualifications. SCOT has now reached its natural progression to deliver De Montfort university degree programs under franchise agreements in three areas of engineering disciplines; civil, mechanical and electrical & electronics. In this advancement, SCOT has been strongly supported by public sector institutions in Sri Lanka such as the Department of Technical Education & Training as well as the Open University of Sri Lanka.
