Overview

This programme builds practical and theoretical expertise in designing, implementing and managing secure data communication networks and cloud systems to satisfy both local and international ICT demands.

The curriculum emphasises sustainable, real-world solutions in data communication, network security and cloud technologies whilst developing analytical, problem-solving and professional practice skills.

Entry Requirements

Applicants may qualify for direct entry or credit exemptions based on recognised vocational qualifications in relevant fields.

  • Accepted NVQ 5 Qualifications (one year exemption granted): Information and Communication Technology; Information and Cyber Security Technology.
  • Accepted NVQ 6 Qualifications (one year exempted and second year module exemptions possible): Information and Communication Technology; Information and Cyber Security Technology; Telecommunication Technology.
  • Accepted NVQ 6 Equivalent Qualifications (exemptions possible): Higher National Diploma in Information Technology; National Diploma in Engineering Science (Electrical and Telecommunication); National Diploma in Technology (Electronics and Telecommunication); Engineering Technology (with ICT subject); Bio Systems Technology (with ICT subject); Biological Science (with Physics subject); Physical Science.
