Bachelor of Economics

The degree programme allows students to develop core economic skills through a set of compulsory courses. Then students will study either econometrics or how economics shapes areas such as public policy, business and industry, trade and the environment. When students graduate, they would be able to work as an analyst, adviser, consultant, economist or researcher in a huge range of industries. Graduates with the Bachelor of Economics degree would be able to gain career opportunities in areas including consulting, infrastructure, environmental management, international finance, investment and trade, natural resources, health, treasury and statistics.

Entry requirements 

Minimum of 3 “S” passes in G.C.E A/L (Sri Lanka) or 3 “D” passes in Cambridge or Edexcel A/L s in any subject stream in one and the same sitting, and pass the Aptitude Test conducted by SLIIT.

Successful completion of the SLIIT International Foundation Program

The Applicant should maintain minimum GPA of 2.5 to transfer.
