Postgraduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management - (PGDip MM) 2025/26 (Leading to MMM)

INTRODUCTION

The Faculty of Graduate Studies, University of Colombo (FGS-Colombo), is pleased to announce the commencement of the Postgraduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management.

The Focus of this programme is on strategic manufacturing management at corporate and national levels. The course is designed to impart an understanding of the structure and dynamics associated with sustainable competitiveness in manufacturing to suit the needs of industry practitioners.

The Faculty is drawn from professionals and academics in the field of manufacturing management.

The Teaching will be mainly based on industry applications and the case study approach in addition to more traditional methods.

PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES

Engineers, Business Executives, Policy Planners and Financial Analysts working/ expecting to work in industry will be the Prospective Candidates for this course.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University/ Institution with manufacturing allied subject area; OR
• Any other Bachelor’s degree, with prior learning/work experience in manufacturing allied subject area; OR
• Professional qualification in manufacturing allied subject area from a recognized professional body which is acceptable to the Faculty Board and Senate of University with prior learning/work experience in manufacturing allied subject area; OR
• Completion of NVQ level 7 (equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in SLQF) with relevant work experience in manufacturing allied subject area as determined by the Faculty Board and Senate of the University; AND
• A good knowledge of English language and satisfactory performance at a selection test and/or selection interview.
