Diploma in Hospitality Management (SIT50416)

The Diploma in Hospitality Management has been designed specifically for students wishing to gain skills and knowledge to manage or in the future own their own hospitality business. The program will provide and build on underpinning knowledge and work experience to successfully undertake their desired job in the hospitality sector, domestically and internationally.

The program reflects the role of highly skilled operators who use a broad range of well-developed hospitality skills in conjunction with management skills to co-ordinate the operations of the industry effectively.

Work Placements

It is a requirement that whilst undertaking this course you have access to a workplace through an internship for a minimum of 6 months (2 terms). This will allow you to practice what you have learned and increase your experience working with others in this field.

It is compulsory and applies against the completion of a unit or Units of Competency that forms part of your full qualification. Students will be placed by AAH for an Internship with the Industry Work Placement (IWP) Department at AAH.
