Advance Diploma in Fashion Designing

This highly creative and popular Advanced Diploma in Fashion Design is the gateway to creative and professional development. In this 2 year course the students will gain hands on experience on idea generation, exploration of specific fashion techniques & processes and more. The course offers practical hands-on assignments to more accurately reflect the industry. It also gives students a cultural understanding of the fashion design & business environment.

Units offered include Contextual and Cultural Referencing in A & D, Techniques and Processes in Fashion, Pattern Construction, Research and Development, Fashion Promotion and Marketing, CAD/CAM for Fashion and Textiles, Fashion Collection Realisation, Personal and Professional Development, Work-based Experience.  At the end of the course students will achieve what it takes to build a creative, professional portfolio that can be used for job interviews or further study.

Entry Criteria

Traditional Entry Criteria

• Minimum 2 passes at GCE/ Edexcel/ CIE A/L
• + Passed 5 subjects at O/L including Maths & English

Alternative Entry Criteria

• Passed GTC Foundation Or
• Passed a Foundation program from a recognized institute Or
• Recognition of Prior learning that is acceptable to academic board

Language Proficiency

A very good command of English Language in reading, writing and speaking is required to successfully complete this program.

Students whose medium of primary and secondary education is not English, should either obtain an IELTS Score of 6.00 or any other proof of proficiency of English Language acceptable to the academic board.
