This diploma blends planning principles, creative design, customer communication and management foundations tailored to the event industry. Students develop competencies in event operations, coordination, and client engagement that support careers in event coordination, corporate celebrations, exhibitions and community activities. Learning is structured across four semesters and an internship, providing continuity from foundational theory to applied practice. 

Recognition & accreditation

This qualification is recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Skills Development under TVEC Sri Lanka, ensuring alignment with national vocational standards for event professionals. 

Duration and study mode

The full programme runs for 16 months of taught semesters, followed by a four-month industrial placement upon successful completion of academic requirements.

Industrial placement

After completing the taught modules, students undertake a structured four-month internship to apply skills in a live professional environment. This period supports the transition from academic learning to workplace performance.

Entry requirements

Applicants must have a minimum of GCE or Edexcel Ordinary Level passes or equivalent qualification. This ensures readiness for the academic and practical demands of the diploma.
