Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychology

Diploma in Child & Adolescent Psychology is a programme designed to provide individuals with basic knowledge and skills required to better understand behaviors and
thinking patterns of children and adolescents in order to support them in various issues and in different contexts.

During the programme students will be introduced to normal development in cognitive, social and moral aspects from early childhood to adolescence. Programme will
also discuss the common Psychological conditions that affect their learning, social interaction, cognitive development, gender identity and self-control.

As opposed to traditional child Psychology programmes this will approach the concepts from an applied aspect and discuss issues during teenage that are often
overlooked.

Upon successful completion students will be able to :
- Understand the normal cognitive, social and moral development from early childhood to adolescence.
- Demonstrate core knowledge in Biological, Cognitive, Developmental, Behavioral, Psychodynamic and Social approaches to psychology
- Apply Psychological theories in improving the quality and effectiveness in parenting, teaching, managing & motivating children
- Identify Psychological conditions in children and teenagers and how to support children and parents in these conditions
