BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance

This programme examines how the design, operation and validation of accounting systems affect and are affected by individuals, organisations, markets and society. Through this students will gain an in-depth understanding of the operation and design of financial systems, financial structures, risk, and financial instruments. The study of accounting and finance will be backed up by the study of the values necessary for acting in an ethical and professional manner.

Successful completion of the programme with the relevant options provides exemption from:

• Up to 9 foundation-level papers of ACCA
• Papers 1-12 of the 16 AIA papers
• All 5 certificate-level papers and 2 operational level(P1 & F1) & 2 managerial-level( P2 & F2) CIMA papers
• 6 out of the 12 CIPFA papers
• 8 out of the 14 CPA Australia papers
• 8 out of the 15 professional qualification papers of the ICAEW

Entry Requirements

260 UCAS points from at least 3 A-level subjects plus O-level English and Mathematics at grade C or Successful completion of International Foundation Programme or equivalent. Direct entry to year 2 and 3 is available for qualified applicants.
