Private Pilot License (PPL)
Those wondering how to become a pilot or venture in helicopter aviation, this license is a must have for both leisure and professional accreditation.
Whichever the PPL course you follow, either PPL (A) - (Aeroplane Fixed Wing) or PPL (H) - (Helicopter), the license will allow you the privilege of flying amongst the stunning beauty of Sri Lanka and abroad.
Our courses are fully integrated with one on one and group ground school classes to cover the seven subjects (in the case of helicopter, 8 subjects) which make up the written part of the course. You will be able to take friends, family and colleagues on incredible adventures once you earn your PPL wings.
This license is internationally accepted and therefore will allow you to convert it to a PPL of all member states of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation) with the mere formality of paper work.
The minimum age to obtain a PPL from the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka is 17, although you can begin training from the age of 16 by obtaining a Student Pilot License (SPL) which does not require any prior experience in flying.
