How Do I Join?

Directly come to most convenient class & start learning from same day.

Do I have to have a partner?

Absolutely not. Anyone can join without a partner & we will arrange a senior student to dance with you. All students will switch partners frequently during lessons and practices. Students will be partnered during practices when they are preparing for upcoming medal tests.

When can I join?

• Tuesday: 6.30pm – 8.00pm @ Punchi Theatre, Borella
• Wednesday: 6.30pm – 8.00pm @ St.Mary’s Church, Dehiwala
• Sunday: 9.30am – 11.00am @ SDS Jayasinghe Hall, Dehiwala
• Sunday: 4.30pm – 6.00pm @ SDS Jayasinghe Hall, Dehiwala

(once you joined you can com all 5 beginners classes)

How much do I have to pay?

4000 for 6 months course & no admission/registration charges or any other charges.

What is the time commitment?

There is not mandatory time commitment, but we suggest a minimum of 2 classes per week. Most people commit to 2-5 classes a week (once you joined you can com all 5 beginners classes).

What do I wear?

Just dress comfortably and nicely. Denims and t-shirts for boys, skirts and blouses or neat tops for girls are preferred. No rubber soled shoes or flip-flops, please.

Do I need special shoes?

No. While ballroom shoes are wonderful and ultimately a great purchase for an interested dancer, the more novice dancer might want to start with a good pair of leather-soled dress shoes (not shoes with rubber bottoms).

Who teaches the lessons?

Professional instructor Dr. W K Colombage will be conducting all the classes. Practices are led by Medalists.
