Diploma / Degree in Information Technology

All academic programmes are full-time courses and conducted in English. Entrance qualification is the successful completion of G.C.E. (A/L) examination.

The Diploma, which is the first phase of the Degree programme, takes three years. Students can graduate with the Diploma Certificate or can continue their studies up to the degree level.

During the Degree programme, students will have the opportunity to intern for 6 months at a reputed software company.

Additionally, students must sit for Japanese Language Proficiency Test and Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination to complete the course.

The curriculum and other facilities in this programme is designed to ensure graduates are well qualified and highly capable of working in any related job in Japan or any other part of the world.

Admission Policy

LNBTI courses are mainly designed, targeting students who have passed the Local or London Advanced Level Examination with three passes in one sitting.

In the admission process, candidates should first complete the application form which must be submitted either by post or email. The Academic Department will then evaluate the student’s applications. Qualifying students will be called for an interview and IQ test, which is based on the fundamentals of English and Mathematics.

Students must produce originals of all necessary documents when called for interviews. Selected students will receive a letter from the Admission Department. Thereafter, students can pay their fees for the course and register.

Curriculum Policy

The LNBTI in Software Engineering degree is a 4-year programme and the diploma is a 2-year programme including two semesters per year.

The LNBTI also offers a three month pre-semester programme to prepare students for their academic programme. Both diploma and degree programmes are conducted in the English medium. The Japanese course starts in the first year.

Language and general education subjects are applied during the first two years semesters and these subjects are not relevant to the student’s GPA. Specialized subjects are structured with the departments of Computer Science that includes Embedded Software and ICT Systems.
