In today’s dynamic media arena, a producer has to manage a gamut of challenges including managing human resources (those who are in front and behind the camera), managing costly program production equipment/material, etc. Further, he/she is constrained with the limited availability of funds and entrusted with the responsibility of delivering the “product” in a defined time scale to remain competitive.  Hence, it is important for an aspiring producer to understand these challenges and manage them effectively. While doing so, a producer cannot compromise on the quality of the final production. Special emphasis has been given to television journalism and writing so that the students can get a rounded knowledge about this field.
